Daniella Portal Landscape Designer & Ecologist/Nursery Associate

Daniella Macedo Portal joined WKA and NATIVE in March of 2025 and enjoys practicing and developing her skills in landscape design, wetland permitting, and working directly with native plants. She is a firm believer that sustainable, ecologically-focused design can cultivate spaces that vastly improve quality of life for people, other species, and future generations all at once. That belief led her to earn a Master of Science in Ecological Design from The Conway School of
Landscape Design. Her completed graduate projects include a landscape master plan for an elementary charter school, a food security plan for the Springfield Food Policy Council, and residential landscape designs. She has also worked at multiple native plant nurseries, interned at Gather New Haven, and studied permaculture design. Daniella earned her Bachelor of Arts in Environmental and Ecological Studies from Quinnipiac University.
