Carolyn is an Ecologist & Arborist and is responsible for assessing the quality and functionality of various coastal and inland ecosystems, evaluating the potential biological and environmental impacts of proposed land developments, preparing habitat enhancement and management plans, conducting tree surveys and assessments, and assisting with general field and office operations. Carolyn is a Certified Arborist through the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) and holds the ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ). She has a master’s degree in Forest Ecology and a bachelor’s degree in Environmental and Conservation Biology from Clark University in Worcester, MA.
Prior to joining WKA, Carolyn managed the New York City office of an Urban Forestry & Natural Resource Consulting company. As Manager she was responsible for overseeing a range of projects in the NYC metro area including invasive species eradication programs, urban forestry management, tree inventories and risk assessments, pollinator garden installations, and ecological restoration by working closely with local cemeteries, parks, universities, municipalities, construction and engineering firms, and state and federal agencies.
